Creating new tags

Creating a new tag in the vault creates a new proxy to represent an asset. However, the new tag will not be synchronized with the maintenance management system and will not be available to maintenance users. Therefore, you should contact a maintenance management system user to add the desired tag to the system for you. The tag will then become available in the Meridian Enterprise vault after the next synchronization with the maintenance management system.

To create a new tag:

1. Create a new document using the document type that is assigned to asset tags in your vault configuration. If you are unsure which document type to use, consult a system administrator. For more information about creating documents, see the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise User's Guide.
